For apartment owners who want fewer surprises

Reduce the risk of hidden defect disputes before you sell

Use kode’s guided checklist to review your apartment step by step, document its condition, repairs and potential issues, and create a clear record of what you know that can be disclosed to buyers before the sale.

Currently designed for apartments. Private-house-specific guidance is planned for a later release.

Why disclosure matters

A defect is not a problem. If the buyer knows about it.

Most apartments have some defects, wear or previous repairs. What matters when selling is that relevant information is identified and clearly disclosed to the buyer before the sale. Kode helps you go through the property systematically, understand what may be relevant and document what you disclose.

kode supports preparation and disclosure. It cannot guarantee that every defect will be found and does not replace a professional inspection or legal advice.

Why we’re building kode

It started with a problem we wanted to solve ourselves

kode started with our own experiences of buying property and thinking about selling. We realised how difficult it is for an ordinary owner to know what to check, what should be disclosed and how to protect yourself from disputes later. We started researching the issue and found that sellers often have to choose between figuring it out alone or turning to expensive professional help. We wanted to create a simpler way to sell your home.
